HANDWRITING
This week, we are working on the four basic strokes of manuscript handwriting. We will be practicing the letters Ii, Ll, Tt, and Ff.
WRITING
We'll be doing a back to school interview of each student, completing writing activities over the story First Day Jitters, writing letters to our PUHA Pals, completing the web "First Graders Can...", writing a journal entry about how each student felt on the first day of school, and beginning our alphabet journals.
SOCIAL STUDIES
This week, we'll be learning about the United States flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, the 4th of July holiday, and how we can be kind to others.
