Due to fire safety regulations, the maximum capacity of the Gold Gym will not allow all Reagan students to attend every pep rally this fall.  The fourth and fifth graders will be going to the pep rally this week.  We will send a note home when it is time for the first graders to attend a pep rally.  Thank you.

HANDWRITING
This week, we are working on the four basic strokes of manuscript handwriting.  We will be practicing the letters Ii, Ll, Tt, and Ff.

WRITING
We'll be doing a back to school interview of each student, completing writing activities over the story First Day Jitters, writing letters to our PUHA Pals, completing the web "First Graders Can...", writing a journal entry about how each student felt on the first day of school, and beginning our alphabet journals.

SOCIAL STUDIES
This week, we'll be learning about the United States flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, the 4th of July holiday, and how we can be kind to others.
 

Welcome Back to School!

Welcome back to school!  I hope all of you have had a wonderful, fun summer!  

Please come to Reagan Elementary's "Back to School Bash" on Thursday, August 21, from 5:00-7:00 pm.  This will be a great time for you to eat hot dogs, visit the classrooms, meet the teachers, discuss any questions or concerns you might have.  This will help with some of the first-day jitters students may have on the first day of school.
