21 Days of Kindness

Our school is participating in a fun program called "21 Days of Kindness."  We have had so much fun doing many fun activities that promote kindness and thoughtfulness.
Here are a few thoughts about kindness by my amazing first graders:

"Kindness means to be nice and help somebody." ~ Millie

"Kindness means to carry homework for your brother or sister.  If somebody falls down on the playground, you should help them up." ~ Ryan

"Kindness means when people fall down, you can help them up.  You can spread kindness by going to the hospital and helping people.  If someone is sad, you can play with them." ~ Leah

"Kindness means when someone is being bullied, you can go up to them and tell them to stop.  If they don't stop, you should go tell a teacher." ~ Christopher

"Kindness means if somebody falls and gets hurt, I could help them up." ~ Cameron

"If someone falls or something, you can help them up and get them a Band-Aid.  That is being kind." ~ Hagen

"Kindness means being nice to somebody and picking something up for them if they drop it." ~ Macrae

"Kindness means that you help someone if they fall down.  You could push someone on the swing and play with them." ~ De'Rahn

"Kindness means being very good and being their best friend." ~ Alazae

"Kindness means if someone falls on the wood chips, I can help them get up." ~ Ali

"Kindness is helping somebody if they drop something." ~ Brandon

"Kindness means you can hug someone if they are sad." ~ Blayze

"Kindness is when somebody falls, I pick them up.  If someone doesn't have friends, I will be their friend." ~ Isaiah

"Kindness is helping people when they fall.  I could grab their hand and pick them up." ~ Jace

"Kindness means not saying anything mean to anybody.  If you've got something mean to say, you don't say it at all. Don't hit anybody." ~ Orlando

"Kindness means being respectful and helping people carry stuff." ~  Taylee

"Kindness means helping someone pick up their lunch if they drop it.  If there is a big mess in the bathroom, we can help clean it up so Miss Bonnie and Miss Kim don't have to." ~ Laila

"When I am kind, I am respectful to others. If somebody fell down, I could help pick them up." ~ Lukas

"Kindness means helping someone and being nice to them.  If someone isn't playing with somebody, I could ask them if they want to play with me." ~ Paytience

"Kindness means if someone steps on glass or sharp rocks, you could get a Band-Aid for them.  If your friend is sick, you could give her a balloon, a stuffed animal, or a card." ~ Nikki
